From My Many Open Tabs 2

I hope your weekend is juicy and bright. May it bring long evenings sitting outside, seeing fireflies and hearing kids’ laughter. These are my most favorite times of the year, when you’ve almost exhausted summer. When you’ve wrung every possible thing you can out of these few hot, glorious months.

Soon, we’ll look toward what is next and what the next season holds. But, not yet.

BECAUSE SOMEONE SHOULD BENEFIT FROM MY 56748 OPEN TABS:

Three generations of sno-cone delight.

Gangsters at Barney’s, a forgotten (fascinating) New York story.

Don’t click unless you can crank up the volume.

THIS IS MAGIC. (hat tip to my pal Nancy Ray!)

All 100 pages of the 1619 Project. (FREE even if you aren’t a NYT subscriber!)

I think this delegation guide might help me with parenting growing-up-quickly boys.

Why are their palm trees in Los Angeles even though they’re not native? Mostly, it’s an image thing.
